Hatfield Woodhouse September 24

METHODIST Church: The coffee morning last Saturday raised £60.10 for Project 2000.

The Harvest weekend did extremely well with over 70 people attending the supper; the entertainment provided a varied programme including vocal solo's, comedy sketches with a selection of songs from the show Les Miserables to conclude a very successful and entertaining evening.

All thanks to Brian and friends and of course those who helped in every way with the supper. The Sunday service run by Mr Briggs was in the form of Songs of Praise and the auctioneer on Monday evening was John Brown. The success of the whole weekend is reflected in the total of 476.20, all for Chapel funds.

Sunday Service: On Sunday September 27 the 6pm service will be conducted by Miss Sue Pickering.

Great North Run: Last Sunday our own Amanda Goodwin was very successful completing the half-marathon in 2 hours 20 minutes enjoying the atmosphere and good weather. The total to date raised for Alzheimer's charity is 680. Congratulations Amanda on your effort.
