there’s still time to catch one of the country’s first ever amateur productions of Calendar Girls as members of the Hatfield based group prepare to bare all.

The Woodhouse Phoenix group who have also has stripped off to promote their show by producing their very own calendar will perform tomorrow and Saturday at Hatfield Woodhouse Village Hall.

The only other groups which can beat the Hatfield am-dram group to the stage with the show is one in North Yorkshire - which was awarded special permission to put it on the day before the release date as it has links with John Baker - whose death from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 1998 inspired the original calendar.

The Woodhouse Phoenix group hopes to raise money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research by donating profits from their calendar. Tickets for the show that takes place at Hatfield Woodhouse Village Hall off High Street are £7, to book call 01302 840437
