Former chef turns legal eagle
CHANGE: Chef Ayse Altinkaya has had a change of direction and is now training to become a legal executive.
A CHEF has served up a whole new career for herself and is now training to become a legal executive.
Ayse Altinkaya realised her dream job was inside a court of law after being a claimant in a case and becoming enthralled by the profession.
The Bessacarr chef then pursued her dream taking on a ILEX secretaries course at Doncaster College as well as enrolling at the Open University and she is now wanting to move up the ladder to legal executive.
The 27-year-old legal eagle said: “I left school and went into my dad’s business, I’m a fully trained chef. Then I had a court case, I was the claimant and just the whole legal thing I was struck by it, so interested in it and I just thought ‘I want to change direction’.
“So, I went to Doncaster College and spoke to the ILEX legal secretaries course leader Kendra Culley and she took me on, and it’s been the best thing I’ve ever done.”
Having completed the secretaries level two course with flying colours, Ayse has also landed herself a plum job at leading law firm Young in Sheffield.
