Festival plans drawn up for Thorne, Doncaster

THORNE is set for a summer festival this year.

Plans have been drawn up for the Right Royal Thorne Festival at Thorne Memorial Park, on July 27 and 28.

Organisers are now starting the search for stall holders and entertainment for the weekend event.

They are looking to hear from charities which would be interested in using the event as a fundraiser, as well as from commercial stall holders who would like to set up there over the weekend. Any entertainers who want to perform can also get in touch.

The organising committee is due to hold a meeting to discuss the plans on April 2, at The Belmont Hotel, Thorne, starting at 7.15pm. Contact Sylvia on 01405 812 403 or Peter on 07540 098 692.
