Family fun at centre

A FAMILY fun day with an environmental theme has been organised to take place at the RSPB Old Moor site in Wombwell.

The event, hosted by Voluntary Action Barnsley, will be held on Saturday, October 13, from 10.30am to 3pm.

It will be open for adults and children to attend and they will be able to find out about growing fruit and veg.

There will also be workshops on how to best look after your own community and environment, and ways to encourage birds and bees into your garden.

A range of traditional crafts, including green woodwork, have also been organised.
