Exhibition of historic High Street businesses

AN exhibition celebrating the history of the bustling market place has been launched this week.

Memories of Epworth and Crowle in days gone by form part of the ‘Up the High Street’ event, which was opened at North Lincolnshire Museum in Scunthorpe on Tuesday.
Old pictures and information about Potts and Brunyee department store in Crowle and Hoole and Triminghams shop in Epworth are included in the exhibition.
Visitors can expect to see a representation of a street scene with shop fronts and interiors on display. There is also a walk through exhibition showing the different types of businesses once found on the High Street. The free event runs until January 2014.
