The Easter bunny is to make a special visit to a Doncaster garden centre which provides support to people with mental health needs and learning disabilities.

The Walled Garden at St Catherine’s, Balby, will hold an Easter open day on Good Friday, March 29, between 11am and 4pm.

The garden centre is part of Flourish Enterprises – a developing social enterprise providing work experience for people with mental health needs and learning difficulties – and is run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH).

There will also be an Easter egg hunt, craft activities, as well as gifts, plants and shrubs for sale and refreshments available from the café.

RDaSH social enterprises project manager Mike Rysak said: “Everyone is invited along. We’ve got some lovely gifts for sale in our shop and some great plants and shrubs on offer – which are all grown by service users – so why not call in and join in the Easter fun.”
