Concerns aired re Manvers unit

A COMMUNITY liaison group met recently to consider developments at the Manvers waste plant.

The group evolved to keep people informed, and to allow communication between developers Shanks and the public.

Chairman David Packham said: “Work has begun on the access road to the site off Bolton Road. The access road should be created over five months, and a start will be made on the main facilities next Spring. Part of the bridleway by the site will be closed, initially for six months. CLG members wanted assurances that the bridleway will be fully restored - and these were given.”

The next CLG meeting is in November. Contact rdapackham@btinternet.com
