Christmas carnival returns to town

DETAILS have been announced for this year’s Christmas Carnival in Mexborough.  The lights switch-on will be undertaken by civic mayor of Doncaster Coun Christine Mills on Saturday, December 1, at 6.30pm.

This will be proceeded by a procession including Father Christmas and Disney characters from the fish market down to the High Street from 6pm.

There will also be a whole host of attractions taking place throughout the day from 10am onwards, including fairground rides, tombola and a performance of street dance.

Mexborough councillor Sue Phillips said: “It will be a great day out for all the family.”
