A GROUP of Dearne super slimmers are to step out at midnight for a sponsored walk to raise money for charity.

Members of the Mexborough and Thurnscoe Slimming World group will join around 600 others for the Midnight Walk for Rotherham Hospice at Parkgate Shopping Centre on June 23.

Slimming World member Becky Spink, 26, of Mexborough, said: “Everyone is really looking forward to the walk and it’s all in aid of a great cause.”

As part of their fundraising campaign, the group has organised two charity events in the lead up to the walk.

A raffle and party night will be held at the Pastures Lodge in Mexborough on Friday, May 11, from 7pm.

This is followed by a table top sale on Saturday, May 19, at Mexborough Resource Centre from 10am to 2pm.
