A COMMUNITY centre has been officially reopened following a £100,000 refurbishment.
The Bishop of Doncaster, Peter Burrows, was invited to officially open and rededicate St Laurence Community Centre in Church Lane, Adwick-le-Street, after the refurbishment works.
The works included updating the kitchen and improving disabled access and facilities throughout the building.
It was funding through a grant from the charity the Coalfield Regeneration Trust.
The aim of the refurbishment project was to expand on existing services and group activities offered at the centre, whilst also making it available to a wider section of the community around Adwick-le-Street.
