Brenda’s reward for 25 years service to shoppers
Brenda Gleadle, manager at the Misterton Co-op foodstore based in High Street, is one of nine staff across the county who have celebrated major milestones with the company this year.
Eight members of staff, including Brenda, have built up 25-years of service each, and Philippa Davies, a receptionist at the society’s headquarters notched up 40 years and celebrated with a special dinner in Lincoln.
The annual lunch was attended by the employees, who this year had notched up 240 years service between them, was also attended by the board of directors, senior managers and previous recipients.
Brenda was presented with a commemorative gold watch as a thank you from the Lincolnshire Co-op for her quarter of a century’s commitment to the company.
Those with longer service received vouchers and a plaque.
The society’s head of people and performance, Heather Lee, said: “Our colleagues are our most important asset – they make sure our business runs smoothly and that our customers and members are happy.
“We’re delighted to be able to recognise these dedicated members of staff in this way.”
Other recipients were Kevin Hilton, Linda Crossland, Valerie Lancaster, Sharon French, Jane Speed, Stephen Dobson and Amanda Sellars.
