IT was a full house for Dora Newton as she celebrated her 100th birthday doing what she loves - playing bingo.

The centenarian was surrounded by family and friends to celebrate the milestone as she received VIP treatment from Mecca Bingo for being the hall’s oldest and most regular customer.

Mecca sent mum-of-six Dora a chauffeur to her Bessacarr home off Stoops Lane, and was driven in luxury to the hall in East Laith Gate to enjoy a special surprise party.

Dora, who also has 12 grandchildren and an impressive 27 great-grandchildren, goes to the hall each week with family including daughter Dorothy Barker, 74, and her 78-year-old husband David.
