Be online savvy - learn for free

DO more online and save yourself a whole lot of cash!

North Lincolnshire Council urges people to get online to save an average family home around £560 a year.

Get Online Week (next week from Monday) aims to get as many people as possible using the Internet.

In North Lincolnshire, 21 per cent or 27,398 adults have never got online so continue to miss out on the huge social and financial benefits it can offer.

Residents can do a whole range of things on-line through the council’s website at www.northlincs.gov.uk – from paying bills, applying for jobs, reporting your concerns, or simply finding things.

The council is running a series of free taster sessions at libraries across North Lincolnshire from Monday to Friday next week. Call 0800 77 1234 for more information. Coun Neil Poole, cabinet member for Policy and Resources at North Lincolnshire Council, said: “The list of things you can do on-line is endless.”
