Barrow race back on

Belton’s traditional wheelbarrow race, the Belton Barrows, is set to return to the village next year.

A comittee has been set up to raise funds for the race whose history stretches back to the 1950s.

A fundraising event and pie and pea supper, fancy dress and raffle will be held at the Wheatsheaf pub on November 10.

Committee member Sue Reed said: “We are looking for any local individuals or businesses who can help.”
