Art event has a big draw for Cusworth

October will see the unveiling of a dynamic and diverse exhibition at Cusworth Hall Doncaster given the title  Opposites Attract visitors to the Hall will be able to view a collaboration between two of Yorkshires finest artists Ashley Jackson and Graham Ibbeson. Atmospheric watercolour paintings capturing the landscape and passion of Yorkshire by Jackson hung against the majestic backdrop of Cusworth Hall whilst around every corner Ibbesons sculptures impart expression and humour creating the opposites of the exhibition whilst the firm longstanding friendship of the artists and their enthusiasm for Yorkshire is evident as the attraction. The exhibition will commence on the 6th October until the 2nd June 2013.

two internationally recognised artists with be attending Cusworth Hall’s Big Draw event on Sunday.

Ashley Jackson is known for his evocative and passionate paintings of brooding moorlands, which have become synonymous with Yorkshire, and will be offering support to people visiting the stately home and gardens this weekend.

He will be joined by Royal College of Art graduate Graham Ibbeson, who has exhibited works in Europe and the USA and whose sculptures can be seen in many towns and cities across the country.

The event is free, and will give budding artists the chance to learn some hands on skills between 11am and midday.

Participants are asked to bring along some pencils and paper, weather suitable clothing and something to sit on.

Both artists have joined forces in a must-see exhibition entitled Opposites Attract at Cusworth Hall which opened this week.
